Kynlee

Ashley is holding the newest member of our family. This is my Grand-niece, Kynlee. She was supposed to be a still born. The doctors never gave her a chance. She was born with Spinal Bifida and Hydrocephalus. Once she was born we knew that the doctors were wrong. Yes she was born with SB and hydrocephalus, but she was not as bad as they had prepared her parents for. Kynlee had her open area on her back repaired the day after her birth. The doctors told her parents that she would not have any movement in her legs and that she would never walk. Once again she proved them wrong. She moves her legs, spreads her toes, and squirms when you touch her feet. She did have to have a shunt placed into her head that drains into her belly. She has perfect hearing and she follows things with her eyes. She is a good baby from what we heard today. She has some trouble sucking, so feeding is tricky and can take an hour, but who wouldn't want to spend an hour with her.
